Big Draw 2001 London Launch

The First Big Draw

The British Museum

29 September 2001

Over two thousand people joined in a range of exciting activities and talks. The Great Court was the magnificent setting for the central hub of activities. Both here and in the galleries, drawing stations were set up, with materials and experts to help and advise. Lectures were held in the Clore Education Centre, which was also a hive of creativity with workshops throughout the day, open to all. The Campaign's patrons and friends helped create a huge banner that later was unfurled from a balcony to the stirring sound of a trumpet fanfare.
