On 4 October, The Big Draw Launch in Northern Ireland, visitors first took
inspiration from the modern buildings emerging around W5 and the historic
elements that are still evident. They also drew the magnificent cranes of
Harland and Wolff, and the Seacat as it glided past.

Inside they explored the 140 fantastic interactive exhibits, drew their
favourites with well-known artists and designed new exhibits. EDCO had prizes
for the most creative drawings. The building's architect was thrilled to see
the atrium she had designed full of people drawing.

On 11 October, another successful and popular Big Draw event was held, led by
Paul Howard, children's illustrator with Walker Books. This was run in
conjunction with World Space Week. Participants drew the weird and wonderful
things in space as cartoon critters and creatures.
