Adventurous Journeys
Enjoying free entry for the day, visitors joined artists Peter Randall Page,
Steven Follen and many others drawing on nature to find how plants make
incredible journeys to survive against the odds.

Among the 13 drawing activity areas around the garden, visitors could venture
into the woods to use natural plant inks, paint faces on wooden disks, etch on
glass, reveal the hidden complexities of the tiniest seeds, work with willow to
create 2 & 3D pieces of a giant botanical jigsaw, walk in the footsteps of
pioneering plant hunters and meet contemporary counterpart and draw on
postcards with home-fired charcoal to create a massive collage.

Elemental Drawing
Visitors braved the elements at an epic event on the Piazza of Horsham's new
shopping centre, experiencing sun, rain and strong winds through the day.
Elemental Drawing, with sand, soil, rice, lentils, barley, shells, seeds and
twigs stretched every boundary of drawing.
Images of symbols associated with the elements provided inspiration for
designs.

Similar activities were provided in the public library nearby, along with more
conventional drawing.
