Big Draw West Midlands Launch 2005

The Big Draw West Midlands Launch was enjoyed by all that came. There were lots activities on offer that were fun and took an irrelevant look at the Hall.

Outrageous Rangoli, led by artist Caroline Jariwala, was inspired by the many tapestries and textiles in the Hall.

Families drew elements of design from the Hall or traditional Rangoli patterns before painting them in with bright colours on to a cotton canvas to create a huge design.

Costumed interpreters posed for their portraits to be drawn by visitors. These fine portraits were hung along the 136 feet Long Gallery.

Cartoon artist Andy Gilbert led workshop sessions creating an array of cartoon creations.

Finally artist Anne Brierley helped children find their muse to fill in the 'Wish You Were Here' postcard competition.
