Heritage Programme
Drawing Attractions was a 2-year programme funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund,
from April 2004 to June 2006, to encourage historic and natural heritage sites
to include more drawing in their year-round education and interpretation work.
It provided training events, e-newsletters and a network for heritage and
education staff.
The programme's lasting legacy is a comprehensive resource pack, reporting on
17 pilot projects supported by the Campaign at heritage and environmental sites
across the country in 2005. The Drawing Attractions Resource Pack of four
books, a CD and a DVD, have been distributed free of charge to heritage sites
throughout Britain.
The Guild of St George Heritage Awards gives three annual awards (£500) to
enable heritage organisers to develop and realise their Big Draw plans. Three
organisations have received grants towards their 2007 Big Draws. Submissions
for awards for the 2008 Big Draw will be invited in the spring.
