There are 10 general category awards sponsored by the Barbara Whatmore Charitable Trust of up to £750 each for outstanding Big Draw activities - from trailblazing events by major institutions to imaginative and resourceful projects by grassroots community organisations.

The Creative School Award of £500 goes to an event held in a primary or secondary school which goes outside – or beyond – the normal curriculum to offer students and the wider school community an exceptional learning experience.

The NADFAS (The National Association of Decorative & Fine Art Societies) Award is for the best event to engage young people (8 to 18 years) creatively. This could be an activity planned and led by young people, or organised by a museum, art gallery or historic property to connect young people with a collection, exhibition or heritage site. It might be a project run by an educator or artist to promote creative excellence within a school or cultural centre.

The winner receives £1,000 and a unique certificate at the Drawing Inspiration Awards Ceremony.

Please note that as a condition of entering for any of these Awards you must be able to show that you have used the Big Draw logo on your publicity materials.
